In 1994, Mark moved to Sidney with his wife Julie and daughter Katie, and they established the Adams Funeral Home at 200 North Main Avenue (now the home of the Shelby County Historical Society.) They quickly outgrew this place, so they built a new one at 1401 Fair Road.
In Mark’s ideal funeral home, there would be a chapel, bathrooms, and a spacious, one-level floor plan. The brand-new building, which is the largest funeral home in Shelby County, is close to I-75 and features a spacious, well-lit parking lot, a serenity gazebo, and a meditation fountain. The building’s interior has spacious viewing rooms and is accessible to people with disabilities.
