Custom headstones in Gahanna, Ohio

We design, engrave and install memorials for families in Gahanna, Ohio. We already know what the cemeteries here require.

✓  No payment required to see your design.

We have already set a memorial at Mifflin Cemetery, a companion slant marker a little over a mile from the centre of Gahanna. That matters more than anything we could say about ourselves, because it means we have been through Mifflin Township's process, met its foundation requirement and had the work accepted.

Mifflin Cemetery, and what the Township requires

Mifflin Cemetery sits on Olde Ridenour Road and is administered by Mifflin Township. Its rule that surprises families most often is that the Township itself installs the foundation. It must be the same size as the headstone, and it is set by the Division of Service, not by us and not by the family. That single requirement determines what your memorial can be, so it is the first thing we check.

The Township also limits each lot to one upright headstone, or up to two flat markers. Live flowers may be planted at the base of the stone, but there is a published list of items that are not permitted, and holding a deed to a lot does not by itself give the right to erect a monument or plant on it. That needs the Township's authorisation first. We obtain it before we begin.

The same rules govern Riverside Cemetery, also under Mifflin Township, so a family choosing between the two grounds is choosing location rather than a different set of restrictions.

The rest of the cemeteries Gahanna families use

Gahanna families do not only bury in Gahanna. Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens is under three miles away and we have set both single and companion upright monuments there. Blendon Central Cemetery in Westerville, where we built a garden bench, is under six. Union Cemetery Association, nine miles west, publishes its own requirements on foundations, sizes and fees, and they differ from Mifflin's in ways that matter to a design.

Tell us the cemetery when you first call, before anything else. It is the single fact that shapes what we can build.

What a memorial costs in Gahanna

Between $1,500 and $5,000, with design, engraving and installation included at every level. Granite colour, size and the amount of custom artwork drive the number. We carry 42 colours. At Mifflin the foundation is the Township's work and its charge, so ask them for that figure separately; we would rather you hear it from them than be surprised by ours.

Production runs to as little as four weeks. We give you a firm date for your cemetery before you approve the design, not after.

How families in Gahanna work with us

Remotely, in almost every case. We send you proofs, you take the time you need, and no payment is required to see your design. Our locations are by appointment only. If you want to see and touch the granite before you commit, call and we will set aside proper time for you. Stoltz Memorials has been doing this since 2019 and holds a 4.9 rating across 67 reviews.

Answers before you ask

Questions from Gahanna families

How much does a headstone cost in Gahanna?

Our memorial packages run from $1,500 to $5,000 with design, engraving and installation included. Price depends on size, granite colour and how much custom artwork you would like. We give Gahanna families a firm number before anything is ordered.

How long does a memorial take?

In as little as four weeks. We stock granite locally and do the drafting and sandblasting in-house, so we are not waiting on a quarry. We give you a firm date for your cemetery before you approve the design.

Do you install at Gahanna cemeteries?

Yes. We confirm each cemetery's rules on size, material and foundation before we carve, then set the memorial ourselves. Nothing is refused at the gate.

Do I need to visit in person?

No. Most Gahanna families work with us by phone and email. We send proofs and you respond when you are ready. If you would rather see granite in person we are glad to meet you; just call ahead so we can set the time aside. No payment required to see your design.
