Headstones For Families Of Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Columbus Ohio

History of Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Columbus, OH

Patrick Egan started a family tradition by founding P.A. Egan’s Undertaking and Livery in 1859, emphasizing individualized, dignified, high-quality funeral services at a fair price.

Personal preferences for funeral services changed as the times did. Funeral services were moved from private homes to funeral homes, the limousine took the place of the horse-drawn carriage, and funeral directors developed into specialized professionals. Egan-Ryan Funeral Home has maintained its commitment to helping families and the community in trying times despite these changes. 150 years later, Egan-Ryan Funeral Home carries on the family tradition.

Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Today

Today, the family tradition is still practiced. With the addition of Kevin Ryan, who started his career as a funeral director with Egan-Ryan in 2008, Egan-Ryan Funeral Home is now under the management of its 5th generation of family members. The funeral home is currently owned and run by Robert E. Ryan and Andrew J. Ryan, along with a team of other devoted professionals. To better serve the needs of those Egan-Ryan serves a funeral chapel at 4661 Kenny Road has been added to the original funeral home, located at 403 East Broad Street.

The buildings, which are thought to be two of Ohio’s finest funeral homes, were constructed with comfort and accessibility in mind. They have no steps, ample, safe parking, and are beautifully decorated and well-lit.

Egan-Ryan Funeral Home is a dedicated, full-service, family-owned funeral home that takes pride in giving those in need exceptional service. With more and more families pre-planning their funerals to make sure the duties are not placed on immediate family members, you can rest assured that Egan-Ryan can help you and your family every step of the way.
