Cemetery requirements
Every ground sets its own rules on foundations, size and what may be installed. These are published by the cemeteries themselves. We confirm them again in writing before we carve, so nothing is refused at the gate.
Only one above ground monument is allowed per grave.
Only one (1) above-ground monument per gravesite is allowed.
The family will be responsible for the engraving on the back of the upright marker only or a ground-level marker.
Monument location is set by the cemetery Superintendent.

If the headstone is as wide as the grave(s) the landscape edging cannot extend past the foundation ends.
Monuments shall be no taller than 20 feet, measured from the foundation.
Monuments shall be sized to allow for a 4" foundation margin around all sides of the monument.
A maximum of six identification markers are allowed per grave in a combination of one headstone, one footstone, and flush markers.
3) In-ground markers placed on graves secondary to an above-ground monument, i.e. an in-ground marker for cremains buried above a casket vault, shall not have any decorations, edging, or other above ground obstruction to mowers.
If a family lot is purchased, one family monument is permitted at the head of the graves, and individual markers shall be installed above ground at the foot of each grave.
Standard candles with flame are not permitted even if they are in an enclosed fixture and sold as Eternal or Memorial candles. b.
Solar powered LED lights or candles are permitted within the landscaped area, or mounted on the headstone. c.
However, they are permitted only when securely affixed to a monument and in good condition.
Bud vases may be installed on mausoleum crypts and columbarium niches, only by Cemetery Staff or a monument company hired by Cemetery Staff.
If a monument company cannot be coordinated with to handle the opening/closing, the cemetery staff may handle opening/closing at the cost of a cremains burial with respect to the time of service.
Quality landscape edging includes: thick continuous plastic (not interlocking short pieces), aluminum, steel, stone, or concrete specifically sold as flowerbed or landscape edging from a landscape company, nursery, or retail store.

Further, while cemetery team members take great care in performance of their obligations, if errors of consequence are discovered – whether in interments, disinterments, burial containers, memorial inscriptions, granite placement, or sale of interment services or spaces – that either require your input to correct or are required to be communicated under applicable law, cemetery team members will contact you.
